Want to start a mobile car repair business, but what do i do with the waste oil?

Need to know how to go about getting rid of waste oil and old old filters, fuel filters etc.. safey.Want to start a mobile car repair business, but what do i do with the waste oil?
Cold climate? Waste oil heater of course. See http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel_libr鈥?/a> for that.

Filters go in the crusher, the oil reclaimed of course. See http://www.oberg-crusher.com/automotive_鈥?/a>

If the climate isn't such that you would use your output in the heater, talk to a recycler about them putting in a tank for you. They will come and collect your oil where it will be cleaned up and recycled.Want to start a mobile car repair business, but what do i do with the waste oil?
Oil recycle centre.
You need to speak to your local authority. Sometimes they'll accept that sort of thing at a recycling centre but for ';trade'; oil waste you may need to make arrangements with a specific waste collection business.
you are not ready to start a business if you need to ask this question!
i used to work for an enviromental company that bought an recycled the used oil. they would refine it to a point where it could be reused as oil fuel for industry or people with used oil furnaces.

look around your area for such a service or company, if there is one available an u could have them pay u for your used dirty fluids. we also had pick-up services so all the customers had to do was collect an store the oil etc either in 45 gal barrels or larger storage tanks then call us when they were getting full an we'd come out an collect the oil.
keep it all in a large drum and sell it to people that heat with these new used oil furnaces, you can get 50 to 75 cents a gallon for it.
Presuming you are in the UK ??? Speak to your Environmental Health Officer - he will be able to guide you.
you will need a waste oil container and filter barrel to store them in where you keep your vehicle, i would use a filter crusher as you can get more in the drum then as you have to pay to have it emptied, there are plenty of used oil collectors out there, do a search on the internet for them. most will supply the containers free of charge and collect the oil for free, the main thing you need is reciepts for the disposal of the oil and filters to show the local council that you are conducting your business properly
Commercial waste disposal in your phone book.

I wouldn't bother with this enterprise. It gets involved and you will soon run into a stumper.

Also there are laws covering what you can do, where, and legalities you won't believe.

Then there's the insurance problem.

Now ask yourself, who pays when someone gets hurt?

Are you master mechanic certified?
There are a number of ways and it depends on where you live. We actually installed a waste oil heater in our garage and use it to heat the shop. The oil filters we have a drain rack that we stand them on and let all the oil drain out of them and then crush them the local landfill will accept them that way. The fuel filters the same thing. The gas filters we do similar except we put them on there own rack and drain pan as we can't use the gas in the heater. make sure you take chock blocks and good Jacks and jack stands. Always block up what you are working on and try and use a spot that is fairly level.
