How often should i change my car oil? should i use regular or synthetic oil? its a 2007 toyota matrix?

Toyota Camry %26amp; Tacoma owner here. I use regular oil in all my toyota's. I've never had any problems and don't expect any with these vehicles.

We put 70,000 miles a year on each of our toyota's, they are a great product if maintained properly.

We change the oil and filters every 3,000 miles on all our vehicles.

However, if you live in a climate where there is alot of dust like the desert or you do alot of off road driving, i'd recommend changing oil every 2500 miles. How often should i change my car oil? should i use regular or synthetic oil? its a 2007 toyota matrix?
every 3000 oil and filter for regular oil, On synthetic i would go every 7500 so you get your money's worth. Amsoil has some great products with a 25000,and 35000 drain interval. you change the filter at 5000 and top the oil up then at 25000 you change all of the oil. they are the original synthetic and there stuff is excellent amsoil.com.

there is no 100000 mile oil change

synthetic is compatible with regular you see this in the stores with the ';blend'; oilsHow often should i change my car oil? should i use regular or synthetic oil? its a 2007 toyota matrix?
you CAN go from regular oil.....to synthetic and back again.....
they say every 3000 miles.i dont know,i always just use 10w30 hd,and i never have any trouble with it.
If you drive on dirt roads much I would change it and filter ever 2000 miles. Regular roads 3000 miles and every other oil change for a filter.

Also clean your air filter (every 3-6 months) and change (once a year).

Use the oil that the manufactors recommends and stick with it.
you should change it every 3000 miles or 3 months whichever comes first. Synthetic oil works very well but is more expensive. I would use regular oil.
In my opinion, any car that's still under the manufacturer's warranty should be brought in to the dealer for engine and transmission fluid changes per the manufacturer's recommended change intervals. Otherwise it may be much more difficult to prove that you did the required maintenance if major warranty work is needed. Wait until the warranty expires before doing your own oil changes or going to an independent service center.
i would be very careful about using synthetic oil in a new car since it can interfere with the normal breakin. you may never get the rings to seat. wait until you have about 20 thousand miles on the engine and then go with the synthetic stuff. unless you really need to use the expensive oil due to severe driving conditions i would stick to regular oil unless you want to extend the oil change interval which you can do with synthetic oil.
Follow the direction of your owners manual. New cars can go as much as 100,000 miles without and oil change. 3 Months / 3000 miles is a tried and true benchmark. You won't go wrong there. Also use the viscosity of oil recommended by the manufacturer.
In order to determine when to change your oil, check with your owners manual. Until recently it was every 3,000 miles or three months. I recently found that this had changed on some models to every 5,000 miles. As to types of oil, you can use either, but once you switch to the synthetic, you should stay with it, for the time that you own your car. You can not interchange or mix the two.
