Is it always worthed to fill expensive engine oil in used car?

I have a toyota corolla, used , 79kIs it always worthed to fill expensive engine oil in used car?
As long as it has been well maintained, and you plan on doing the same, regular engine oil should be fine., sure their are synthetics, but doing regluar maintence with good cheap oil (i try to stay name brand) should be fineIs it always worthed to fill expensive engine oil in used car?
You might get a little extra life out of the engine if you do, but it's not cost-effective. A name-brand motor oil that meets the manufacturer's requirements is the most cost-effective way to go. After 79k miles, I would probably lean towards the heavier of the oils recommended by Toyota for your climate, as so doing will minimize oil consumption in an engine that has probably seen some wear.
toyotas are fine on any oil . if you put in expensive oil at this point, such low milage, its not worth it. on reg oil it will go for at least 250k anyways. save the money an go out for dinner
79k is just broken in.... no need for anything other then a good 5 or 10w-30, in a good brand name oil, say like pennzoil, castrol, havoline, etc. If you have no leaks, I'd give a good synthetic a try. Remember to not use frams, if you doubt they are cheaply made, open one up for yourself. Havoline can be had on the cheap, and has shown to be a great oil..
