I am getting lots of sparking from the pick up. Is this just because i am using new brushes. There was oil on the pick up but i cleaned it when i had the motor apartI have just replaced the brushes in my RC car motor do i need to oil them?

If you want it to stop working all together, by all means, oil the brushes and commutator. You did not fit the brushes to the commutator's curve.
