How can I remove a oil stain from my transmission cover in my car?

One of those oil car freshners that clip onto the air conditioner vent spilt onto the gear transmission of my car (mazda). I immediately wiped away the oil residue that had gotten onto the dash etc but did not discover the blob on the transmission until the next day. The oil seems to have eaten away at the paint and I can't seem to get it off. Please help, car is only 2 months old :(How can I remove a oil stain from my transmission cover in my car?
Try using rubbing alcohol.

You probably did damage your plastics, though. Go back to your dealer (several different dealers for that matter) and ask them how much it would be to make a repair.

Used car dealers have to have similar repairs made all the time. They can usually give you the number of the person they use.
